Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC)
Prior to 2007, Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) was the most commonly used cement for general purpose applications. It is commonly used for general construction especially when making precast and precast-prestressed concrete that is not to be in contact with soils or ground water.
Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) is manufactured to these Standards:
EN 197-1: 2011 CEM I 42
TTS 584:2002 OPC
ASTM C 150 TYPE I
All general purposes: Driveways, pavements and sidewalks, reinforced concrete buildings, bridges, railway structures, tanks, reservoirs, culverts, precast concrete products, pipes and masonry units.
